margin-right: 20px;\"><strong>Please contact the Front Desk Manager at extension 4153 for assistance<\/strong><\/p><ol><li style=\"margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px;\">Laptop (The laptop must have built-in wireless capability) or Smartphone\/Device.<\/li><li style=\"margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px;\">Select the Network\/Wi-Fi icon in the toolbar.<\/li><\/ol><ul><li style=\"margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px;\"><strong>Smartphone:<\/strong> go to settings, then select Wi-Fi.<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"3\"><li style=\"margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px;\">You will then select the wireless access point that is broadcasting the SSID \u201cTMCNY.&#8221;<\/li><\/ol><ol start=\"4\"><li style=\"margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px;\">After accepting the terms, you will open a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE, etc.) and The Manhattan Club splash page should appear to log into the TMCNYC network.<\/li><\/ol><ul><li style=\"margin-left: 30px; margin-right: 30px;\">\u00a0It should ask for: <br \/>username: TMCNYC (lower case)<br \/>password: <strong>freewifi<\/strong> (lower case)<\/li><li style=\"margin-left: 30px; margin-right: 30px;\">Do not include any spaces &#8212; then click the \u201cContinue\u201d button.<\/li><li style=\"margin-left: 30px; margin-right: 30px;\">It will take you to a screen that says: \u201cYou are now connected to the Internet. It is safe to close this window.\u201d You can now browse the web and access your e-mail.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-top: 20px; margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px;\"><strong>Wireless Connection Troubleshooting Tips<\/strong><\/p><ol><li style=\"margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px;\">It is critical that the laptop connects to a website before attempting to use e-mail.<\/li><\/ol><ul><li style=\"margin-left: 30px; margin-right: 30px;\">Try visiting a public website, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.gmail.com<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yahoo.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.yahoo.com<\/a> to ensure that you can successfully browse the web.<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"2\"><li style=\"margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px;\">The Signal Strength of the Access point is strongest near the window.<\/li><\/ol><p style=\"margin-left: 30px; margin-right: 30px;\"><em>Please note that if receiving a weak signal, try a location closer to the window. Also, the human body blocks wireless signals. If you are having difficulty obtaining a strong signal, try to ensure that you are not sitting between the laptop and the window.<\/em><\/p><ol start=\"3\"><li style=\"margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px;\">Some laptops will operate the wireless network card at a reduced strength to conserve battery power. The laptop should be plugged into an AC outlet to get maximum power.<\/li><\/ol><p style=\"margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px;\"><strong>High-Speed Internet Access<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"margin-left: 30px; margin-right: 30px;\">The Desk Hub makes connecting to High-Speed Internet Access instantaneous.
