  •  It should ask for:
    username: TMCNYC (lower case)
    password: freewifi (lower case)
  • Do not include any spaces — then click the “Continue” button.
  • It will take you to a screen that says: “You are now connected to the Internet. It is safe to close this window.” You can now browse the web and access your e-mail.

Wireless Connection Troubleshooting Tips

  1. It is critical that the laptop connects to a website before attempting to use e-mail.
  1. The Signal Strength of the Access point is strongest near the window.

Please note that if receiving a weak signal, try a location closer to the window. Also, the human body blocks wireless signals. If you are having difficulty obtaining a strong signal, try to ensure that you are not sitting between the laptop and the window.

  1. Some laptops will operate the wireless network card at a reduced strength to conserve battery power. The laptop should be plugged into an AC outlet to get maximum power.

High-Speed Internet Access

The Desk Hub makes connecting to High-Speed Internet Access instantaneous. Just connect the wall mounted Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port of the laptop. No access code is needed.
