Safety, Security And Fire Procedures

Your safety and the security of your personal property are very important to us, therefore we would like to make the following recommendations.

 Double Locks & Night Latches
  • For additional security upon entering our suite, utilize the double lock provided. This will prevent the door from being opened by a room key.
 Admittance
  • Do not admit persons to your suite without first making identification. For your convenience, a “peephole” is provided in the entry door to your suite. If there is a doubt about a person’s identity, please contact the Operator by dialing “0” from the phone in your suite.
 Safety Deposit Boxes/In-Room Safes
  • For storage of your valuables, we urge that you use the safe provided in the closet of your suite, or take advantage of the complimentary safety deposit boxes available at the Front Desk. The Manhattan Club is not responsible for valuables left in your suite.
 Fire
  • For your safety and comfort, The Manhattan Club has a building-wide fire safety system. In the event of an emergency, you will receive instructions over the public address system. Should you need to report an emergency, please Dial “0” for the hotel Operator.
  • Upon your arrival, learn where the exits are. Look to the right and left upon exiting your suite and locate the nearest exit.
  • Locate and walk to the fire alarm and fire extinguisher on your floor.
  • If you find a fire, pull the nearest fire alarm and exit to the nearest emergency exit and immediately phone the Operator (0) to report the fire. If you cannot reach the operator, call the local fire department. Dial 9 for an outside line, then 911.
  • Have your suite key in your possession at all times. A tip – always leave the key to your suite in the same location while in your suite so it is easily accessible.
  • Avoid elevators… in case of fire, NEVER use elevators as emergency exits. If you are unable to exit your suite, stay there. Your suite is the safest place to be.
For your convenience, the floor plan is posted on the backside of the entry door to your suite. We encourage you to explore the safety features of The Manhattan Club and become familiar with the location of the emergency exits on your floor. For more information on fire protection, please read the following. We wish you a safe and comfortable visit.
