Wireless Connection Troubleshooting Tips
- It is critical that the laptop connects to a website before attempting to use e-mail.
- Try visiting a public website, such as www.gmail.com or www.yahoo.com to ensure that you can successfully browse the web.
- The Signal Strength of the Access point is strongest near the window.
Please note that if receiving a weak signal, try a location closer to the window. Also, the human body blocks wireless signals. If you are having difficulty obtaining a strong signal, try to ensure that you are not sitting between the laptop and the window.
- Some laptops will operate the wireless network card at a reduced strength to conserve battery power. The laptop should be plugged into an AC outlet to get maximum power.
High-Speed Internet Access
The Desk Hub makes connecting to High-Speed Internet Access instantaneous. Just connect the wall mounted Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port of the laptop. No access code is needed.
