Confirmation Addendum Regarding COVID – 19 Contagion Mitigation

We respectfully request your cooperation with your Manhattan Club staff in order to provide you with a safe environment.



For Your Safety
  1. The Manhattan Club has implemented a Nisus DSV Disinfectant, Sanitizing and Virucide Protection Program developed by Abalon Exterminating and Cleaning Company, Inc. All suites have been treated with this EPA registered product, eliminating dozens of viruses and bacteria.
  2. The Manhattan Club’s OSHA Consultant, GCG Risk Management, Inc. has confirmed that the Abalon process and our inhouse ECOLAB products are appropriate.
  3. Public space cleaning staff has increased the frequency and rigor of sanitizing and cleaning to disinfect restrooms, door handles, elevators, Lounge, Fitness Center, all Public Spaces and all employee areas has been implemented.
  4. All staff is supplied with face masks and gloves.
  5. Management will continue to follow the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. (CDC).
The following protocols will support mitigating exposure to the contagion
  1. The CDC information relevant to appropriate behavior in public spaces can be acquired on the CDC Corona Virus Website under Prevention Tips, Symptoms, and Mode of Transmission. All of these notices are subject to additions as more scientific facts relevant to the contagion are established.
  2. The Governor of New York State, Andrew Cuomo, has issued an Executive Order, effective Saturday April 18, 2020, that the wearing of face coverings or masks that cover the mouth and nose in public is mandatory in New York State. The Governor explained that a mask or face covering must be worn in any situation in public where an individual cannot, may not maintain proper social distance.
  3. We respectfully request your cooperation in carrying out social distancing which is defined as keeping a distance of at least 6 feet apart from other individuals other than your family while occupying public spaces.
  4. We respectfully request your adherence to New York State Governor’s (see above) directive to wear a face covering in the building commencing from your entrance from the street, throughout the building, and upon your departure. In our desire to protect you we request you please also wear gloves during your stay. As always, your dedicated Management and Security Staff in their attempt to protect all Manhattan Club staff and Owners, will monitor everyone’s behavior and determine if any behavior puts you or staff in jeopardy. Risky behavior specifically not following the delineated CDC and New York State guidelines enumerated here will result in an appropriate response up to and including requesting your departure from the premises.
Specific to Your Arrival
  1. At this time the Icon valet parking will be available from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. During those hours, please drive up to The Manhattan Club and your vehicle will be taken by the valet. After 8 p.m., please proceed directly to the Icon garage directly across from The Manhattan Club to park or to retrieve and pay for your vehicle. Should you arrive after 8 p.m. you will be responsible for bringing your luggage from the garage to the property. At your discretion you may choose to drop your luggage off at The Manhattan Club prior to parking your vehicle.
  2. Access into The Manhattan Club Lobby will be monitored by The Manhattan Club staff at the entrance from the street. They will ensure adherence to social distancing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) apparel regulations as outlined above includes a face covering and gloves, which you are required to have in your possession. Prepare to have your temperature monitored. After confirming all parties are fever-free you will be directed to 1 of the available 5 stations for check in. In the event you or someone in your party presents with a fever (100.4° F [37.8° C] or greater using a thermal thermometer) Security will refuse entrance and provide a list of medical practitioners and hospitals.
  3. Please carry your Manhattan Club key and proof of ID at all times when entering the lobby.
  4. Please refer to the attached seamless check-in form to minimize physical interaction with The Manhattan Club staff and expedite your check-in. Consistent with social distancing protocol, all check-ins will be staggered, requiring your cell phone number/email in order to communicate when your suite is available. Please rest assured all efforts will be made to expedite this process.
  5. As mandated by New York State regulations, the Fitness Center, Lounge and Business Center are presently closed. You will be apprised at check-in as to the status of each.

  7. Elevator occupancy will have a maximum of one family or four people at one time.
Specific to Your Departure
  1. In accordance to social distancing protocols, all Guests are encouraged to use Express checkout.
  2. To utilize Express checkout procedures please dial extension 7700 from your suite.
  3. You will be connected to a voicemail where you are to leave your name, email address and suite number. Your folio will be emailed to you.

In order for The Manhattan Club to adhere to CDC and New York State directives and maximize the safety of staff and occupants, all social distancing and personal protective equipment (PPE) regulations, as outline above to include face coverings and gloves, will be mandatory. Your Management staff would like to remind you that in the twenty-five (25) year history of The Manhattan Club we have successfully persevered through various challenges outside of our control. Presently we look forward to putting this latest challenge behind us as well.
