A Return Home: A Dream Realized


We count The Manhattan Club as the center of our New York 

City experiences. Over the years, we’ve been to many parts of the Midtown and even ventured to Lower Manhattan, such as SoHo, the Meat Packing District, The Highline, Greenwich Village, Tribeca and on to Brooklyn.

We remember once in Brooklyn, the Carousel, which now is on the waterfront, was being renovated in an enclosed space. One Brooklyn visit include the David Bowie Exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum.  No one can forget the closeness of the Broadway Theaters. Even after the years that we’ve been part of The Manhattan Club experience, memories don’t stop and continue to grow. 

The Bell Staff always extends a “welcome home greeting” when we arrive. It’s a genuine ‘Welcome Home’ greeting, which does make us feel that we’ve arrived home. We think of this neighborhood as the center of our New York universe. It’s walkable, including 5th Avenue after the sun sets, Central Park either walking or riding.

Our daughters have become part of the Manhattan Club experience, including joining us after a very long halfway around the world trip. Our friends have also become owners. Over our time at the Manhattan Club, we’ve become well acquainted with the Front Desk Staff and the Housekeeping staff. When we’ve stayed a few times at Midtown hotels, it doesn’t feel the same. That’s a good test of why we appreciate and value The Manhattan Club.

It is with great pleasure that we share feedback from one of our team members, Sherap, and what working at The Manhattan Club means to her.


As we always say, “Housekeeping is not just about cleaning—it’s 

about creating a comfortable, safe, and welcoming space where every detail matters.” During my time as a Club Attendant, I’ve learned that our work goes beyond making beds and vacuuming floors.

Every suite we clean is an opportunity to give a guest a sense of comfort, peace, and care. When a guest walks into a spotless, well-prepared suite, they feel at home, and that’s the true impact of our job. But housekeeping is more than just the suites - it’s about the experience we create throughout the property. When I’m on the floor, I make sure to greet guests with a warm smile, making them feel valued and welcomed. A simple “Good morning” or “How was your day?” can go a long way in making someone’s stay memorable. 

Of course, none of this is possible without teamwork. Working closely with my coworkers and managers, I’ve learned that communication and support make all the difference. Whether it’s helping each other during a busy shift or sharing a laugh during a break, we create an environment where we lift each other up. What keeps me going in this role is staying calm under pressure and bringing a compassionate heart to my work. Every task, no matter how small, is done with care because we know that our efforts shape the guest’s experience. So, as we continue our work, let’s remember that housekeeping is not just about cleaning—it’s about the energy we bring, the teamwork we build, and the warmth we share with every Owner who walks through our doors.

We are excited to share news that underscores our commitment to excellence – the completion of our annual General Maintenance General Clean program! Designed to uphold Gold Crown Standards and ensure the pristine condition of our property. This program embodies our dedication to providing Owners and Guests with an environment that reflects the highest quality. Through meticulous maintenance and thorough cleaning initiatives, we aim to enhance your experience and maintain a well-appointed space that you can truly call home.

2025 General Maintenance General Clean Project

We are thrilled to share that we’ve expanded our breakfast menu to include a variety of new Hot American Breakfast options! These delicious additions are now available for purchase either with our Continental Breakfast Option or A-La-Carte, offering you even more choices to enjoy each morning.

New menu items include:

  • Plain Omelet – Simple and classic, made to order
  • Cheese Omelet – Packed with savory, melted cheese
  • Western Omelet – A hearty mix of diced ham, bell peppers, and onions
  • Sausage Links – Perfectly cooked for a savory bite

Upgrade to Camera System

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for all our Owners and Guests, we are pleased to announce that we will be working with DSC Security Systems to enhance the security infrastructure of our Club.

This initiative will focus on upgrading and modernizing the security camera systems throughout our public spaces. These new state-of-the-art cameras will offer clearer, more reliable coverage to ensure the highest level of safety for everyone within the building.

Safety and security remain our top priority at The Manhattan Club, and these improvements are part of our continued effort to provide peace of mind to our valued Owners and Guests. 

 

Upgrade to Phone System - Mitel

We have recently completed the installation of new MITEL phones in all suites and across all departments. This update is part of our ongoing commitment to providing you with the best possible technology option. The upgraded system offers an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, making it simpler than ever to manage your communications.

 

New iPads in The Penthouse Suites

We are excited to announce an upcoming upgrade to enhance your experience at The Manhattan Club Penthouse Suites. Soon, we will be phasing out the old computers in each penthouse suite and replacing them with brand-new, state-of-the-art Volo Tablets.

These new, user-friendly tablets are designed to provide you with a seamless, modern experience during your stay. With the Volo Tablets, you’ll enjoy:

  • Easy Access to the Internet: Surf the web quickly and efficiently, right from the comfort of your suite.
  • Property and Amenity Information: Explore all the exclusive offerings at The Manhattan Club, with real-time updates on amenities, events, and services.
  • Owner Services & Guest Experiences at Your Fingertips: Make requests, book reservations, and inquire about services with ease, all through the tablet.
  • New York City Insights: Discover the best of the city with curated recommendations, events, and tips for exploring New York City.

Elevator Modernization Project 

We have successfully completed the Penthouse Elevator Modernization Project for Car 13 and 15. 


Currently, we are working on Car 6, and on schedule to complete the remaining Elevator Modernization by 2026.


The Elevator Modernization Project aims at enhancing your future experiences with us and to meet new NYC standards and regulations. To complete these necessary upgrades, we will need to place certain elevators out of order at various times throughout the project. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this period of improvement.

 

Your Emergency Contact Information

Your Manhattan Club Hospitality team provides you with the specific security and hospitality policies that correspond to our unique Manhattan Club culture. In that spirit, we want to ensure expeditious and efficient measures in responding to any unforeseen medical or other emergency that may unfortunately occur during your stay with us. Having you provide us with an “Emergency Contact” that we can notify in the event of any unforeseen emergency, will assist us in helping you. If you have not updated your profile already, please click on the link below to provide this very important information.  

 

Heating / Air Conditioning Seasonal Advisory

The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system at The Manhattan Club operates seasonally on a Two Pipe System.


During Winter, the system generates heat. Adjusting the thermostat to a cooler setting will only reduce the amount of heat supplied to the suite, not introduce cool air. If the suite becomes excessively warm, it is advisable to switch the fan off to halt the heat flow.


In Summer, the system solely provides air conditioning. Adjusting the thermostat to a warmer setting will only decrease the amount of cool air, not introduce heat. If you feel too cold, it is recommended to switch the control off.


In transitional seasons, neither heating nor air conditioning is active. Air circulation can be achieved by selecting a preferred fan speed. If the suite's temperature is uncomfortable, please contact the Front Desk at extension 0 from your in-suite phone, and every effort will be made to ensure your comfort during your stay.

Happy Spring to my fellow Owners,

When I was thinking what to share with you in this newsletter, I was drawn to the thought that The Manhattan Club is as unique as the city it is located in!

Examples include: how many timeshares have you stayed in that offer daily cleaning services?  This is rather unique to New York City.

Another unique aspect of our club is the specialized knowledge our Concierge and Front Desk teams have about the many specialized offerings in the City.  We have toured backstage at the world’s most famous music hall – Radio City.  We have visited a very limited edition Starbucks in the City where you can experience a “coffee tasting” and learn about differences in beans. 


Come stay at the Club to have a New York City style holiday celebration.  There is only one Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and only one New York Times Square celebration of the New Year and, for the July 4th holiday, join fellow Owners on the outside space on the 29th Floor of the Club for great viewing.


If you appreciate the arts, come hear the New York City Opera founded in 1943 or visit the one and only Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).  If sports is your interest, play pickleball in Central Park or ice skate at Bryand Park or Rockefeller Center.


As a world “melting pot,” you can meet people from so very many ethnic backgrounds and with the plethora of restaurants in the City, you can enjoy their food.  Owner Services Department can help you with all of these things as they have the unique training to help you experience the unique New York City and the unique Manhattan Club.

Great Jones Bourbon, Manhattan's first whiskey distillery since Prohibition, provided a unique experience for all attendees. The Frick Collection Grand Reopening

The Met Museum’s Recasting the Past: The Art of Chinese Bronzes, 1100–1900

Chinese bronzes made from the 12th to the 19th century are an important but often overlooked category of Chinese art. In ancient China, bronze vessels were emblems of ritual and power. A millennium later, in the period from 1100 to 1900, such vessels were rediscovered as embodiments of a long-lost golden age that was worthy of study and emulation.

From important bronzes to a complementary selection of works including painting, calligraphy, ceramics, lacquers, and jades, the exhibition draws on an international array of loans to redress the previous misunderstanding of later Chinese bronzes.
